Do not put your betta fish in the tank before the pump and filter has had a chance to go through one cycle. It is important to keep the tank temperature at 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
Sharing a Tank?
Do not put your betta fish together. Betta fish are also known as Siamese Fighting Fish, and for good reason too! Putting two betas in a tank will cause them to fight, often to the death. It may seem like a good idea, but if you want your betta fish to survive, then don’t do it!
The only exception is of course betta fish breeding! Always remove the female betta straight after breeding, because the male will try to kill her once they are finished! This is the main reason why betta fish breeding is so hard.
